American-Norwegian music duo NIGHTMÅNE is a celebration of iconic pop anthems from classic decades gone by. By blending 80’s British synth-pop, 90’s Scandi-pop, and American Top 40 style pop, NIGHTMÅNE is equal parts brand new and familiar with a truly global sound worth paying attention to.
NIGHTMÅNE consists of Swedish pop tastemaker Sigurd Røsnes from Norway and breakout LGBT Singer-Songwriter Anthony Starble from Colorado. Individually they both rack up an impressive list of songwriting and production credits around the globe from Cher and Luis Fonsi in the U.S, to Ace of Base in Sweden, all the way to Namie Amouro, TVXQ! and Rocket Girls 101 in Asia. In addition to their collaborative accolades, Sigurd’s solo project has landed multiple premiers on Spotify’s coveted New Music Friday playlist, while Anthony’s emotional vocal and songwriting stylings have been praised and featured by The Advocate and Logo.
After Sigurd and Anthony collaborated on Sigurd’s solo project, the two quickly became inspired by one another and formed NIGHTMÅNE as a way to express a new sound that told the story of their global musical backgrounds. The two have been limited to writing and producing remotely due to Covid-19 but have found that even though it presents logistical difficulties at times, being over 5,000 miles apart brings them closer together and the story of NIGHTMÅNE really mirrors the story of their music...global unity.
With the unique marriage of danceable beats and bravely vulnerable lyrics, NIGHTMÅNE has something for everyone, from euro club kids to soccer mom’s alike. Whether you gravitate towards indie or pop, ballads or bops, even oldies or brand new releases, NIGHTMÅNE speaks to you with their unique global fusion in a festival of anthems that unify the human experience.
